I am having problems with my nokia lumia 925 it has frozen and will not switch off

I have tried repeatedly to switch it off with the power off button but nothing happened so tried the top and bottom buttons nothing only now the camera comes on but will not take picture just times it self off then back to black off screen cannot slide screen down or any thing else any ideas

Press and hold volume down and the power button at the same time. Keep it pressed until the phone vibrates (could take a couple seconds). This performs a soft reset. Don't worry, no data or apps or whatever is lost. The only thing you might need to set again is date and time.

Try to hold down volume down and the power-button for an extended period of time. It should help. Just keep them down and wait.
