Hello,

Yesterday i bought a brand new Lumia 1020, very excited about it. But when i try to turn it on, nothnig happens. Of course i tried to charge it and then turn it on - nothing happens. The phone is on the charger since 6 pm till today 7 am - thats 13 hours and nothing happens. Is it possible my brand new Nokia to have dead battery?

You could try soft resetting the phone to do this hold power and vol down buttons together and let go when you feel the vibrate.
Also I know this sounds ridiculous but it does happen -- make sure your battery is in the right way round and the charger is fully pushed into the phone.

The battery of 1020 isnt removable. Tried turning it on without plugged charger - nothing. I think i tried everything, i guess i recieved dead phone :) Maybe since it is manufactured - 2013 model, it wasnt been charged and the battery is dead.

To reset the battery in your Lumia 1020 please view this web page on how to do this http://allaboutwindowsphone.com/flow/item/19077_Easy_Lumia_hardware_battery_re.php but because your phone is new I would suggest to go back to the shop you got it from and get a replacement, as when or if you decide to take the battery out you could void tour warranty.
**Please use caution on this, me personally I'd go back to the store**

ill contact the online shop where i bought it and if they dont tell me something out of this wolrd to start the device, ill send it back for repair or change

thanks :)

Yes do that would be your best bet. Sure like its brand new so a replacement should be done. Sorry to hear you had trouble with it.
