I think that they changed the battery saver background to more accurately update what the projected battery life is based on your most recent usage.

So maybe you're using the phone considerably more now, and if you continue at this current pace, you'll be dry in 6 hours.

No I don't think you guys understand. Right after I went to 8.1 I was getting terrible battery life like most everyone on 8.1 has been, the max I got was 17 hours of use. So I decided to try to let it run all the way down before charging a few times, but I've also not been using it quite as much as I did when I first jumped to 8.1 (playing with settings, updating apps, etc.).

I took it off the charger yesterday at 10am. It hasn't touched a charger since. It's still going strong and says it has 36% and 6+ hours to go to empty. And this is the Battery Performance app saying it. I'm trying to see just how long it will go before I have to charge it.
