I don't want a reminder on calendar. Can I get rid of reminder

Is there an option to have NO reminder on calendar events without changing each individual event.
I don't need the reminders and find it very annoying

When adding a new event via the calendar; press more details button. That gives you the option to set a reminder or in your case to not set a reminder
