I forgot my pin number for my lock screen, how can I recover it?

????. My 18 month old was playing with my wife's phone and messed with the pin. All she got was 'enter this phrase / code' which when she did, the pin screen reappeared.

I guess that's what you are on about, but the information is very limited. Could you elaborate??

The only way it to hard reset via key combo. I've been in your situation. Sucks.

If you have 8.1 or below... Hard Reset. Power off the phone > hold Volume Down > press Power > keep holding Volume Down until you see the exclamation (!) screen, then immediately release the Volume Down

Now tap Volume Up / Volume Down / Power / Volume Down

You should see the spinning gears and your phone will reflash the last OS version held in recovery. You do loose data, but get your phone back. Sign into your Microsoft Account and restore your backup during the set up.
