10 supersedes 8.1 Update 2.

You can install WP10! No needing of GDR2. As Xandros says 10 integrates with update 2!

With all that is going on with Microsoft now I would not hold my breath waiting for older devices to get WP10. Even if it does happen its a long list of phones to receive it and the 820 (I have one) is way at the back of the list. I guest we should be thankfull that its at least on the list.

I think the 820 is one of the most under rated WP8 / WP8.1 phones.
I still have one and I know its a bit dated now but its been so reliable, it does run W10 mobile, it has a few bugs but it will be hard to replace.
