I have a Nokia Lumia 1020 AMA

808 had a 1/1.2" sensor versus the 1020's 1/1.5" sensor and Nokia laid off the noise reduction for a more accurate picture. Graininess is unavoidable with such a powerful sensor in a small package. Adjusting settings such as ISO and post-shot software help with the graininess.

I'm very impressed with how the 1020 helps with adjusting settings and the tutorial in Nokia Pro Camera. I don't know **** about photography but am taking some amazing shots.

Is the ff camera on the 1020 the same or is it better than the 920's?

I agree with dkp23, I want to see a picture of both phones. Take a picture of your Lumia 1020 using your Lumia 920.

How is the front facing camera compared to the 920? Can we see sample pics from that? And also, I like the 1020 pics more, but the Amber update may really may make my 920 as good as the 1020 so I'll wait, at least for the update and a price drop. Maybe a Snapdragon 800 processor version later this year?

Looks like there is no variable aperture nor ND filter in this generation

Most images are taken at F2.2 - with shutter going as faster as 1/2500 to compensate for the brightness.

Curious how it would cope.

I was told by Nokia not to share pictures taken with the phone until it's launched. That's all I can really share, sorry.

I believe 808 has fixed aperture also at 2.4, N86 however has variable. ND filter is not present in 1020 as confirmed by Pureview engrs. One of the advantage of 808, aside from the much larger sensor, is having iso 50 which is better in bright outdoor shots for lesser noise.

thanks, the flickering issue is so much annoying on my 925, the text blur and images shadow trail is bad also but i can live with it.. Sad to hear that these issues also available in the 1020... Just wondering if this can be reduced with software update.. Amoled is not that much bad thats why im thinking of a software improvement...
