I just ordered one from Amazon, based on all the reviews. I provide customer support - much web-based and remote. If this can allow me to keep the laptop in the bag to do some quick e-mails, or read / update a doc / spreadsheet / charge my tilt battery - I'll be adding to the reviews on amazon and WMExperts (I like pens - I'll let you know when the reviews are posted :D )

I've only had mine less than a week, but so far, no complaints. I pop it out in meetings and less than 15 seconds it's connected to my 800W and I can either take notes, check email, or just browse the Internet. I leave my phone in my pocket and when I get calls, I can tell who they are from without taking the phone out the pocket. It doesn't look like I'm always checking my phone. When I know it's an important call, I can excuse myself and step out of the meeting. If it's not, I generally ignore with a text message.

you can leave your phone in your pocket? does it do wireless connections to the phone or you have the cord hanging out of your pocket?

He's probably just seeing who the caller is then stepping out.

Either that or he has a wired/bluetooth headset. The Redfly doesn't pick up sound at all (no where for it to go).

ebag was correct. I am connected to the Redfly via BT. When I see who's calling and it's someone I need to take the call from, I step out of the room. Sometimes I take my phone out of my pocket. Other times I answer with my BT headset.

Yes, the Redfly really does have the best bluetooth experience that I have ever had. I keep my phone in my pocket with the screen turned off (which saves on the phone battery). The Redfly connects wirelessly just fine.

The BT works while the phone stays in my pocket as well. The only reason i need to take it out when activating BT is that i haven't figured out how to deactivate my keyguard without hitting the center button of the phone.

I have had mine since March and just don't know what I would do without it. I tried using a Voyager but after a week of using RemoSync (sucks) and not having a Tasks application (I use it to take notes so they are synced to all my devices), I had to go back.

My use of the Redfly is between one and two hours a day. I only charge it on the weekends!!

I am curious how many units have been sold so far.

I just turned off the keyguard. So far, I have not had a problem with accidental launching of apps or calls. I think since the keys are flat they don't get pressed easily.

Great!!!!!!

The redfly is great my laptop has really began feeling neglected since I have had the redfly. It is really the best add on I have ever bought for my phone now I wonder how I ever conducted business without it. i am sure you will love yours.

Reviews were right

Received mine a few hours ago. Installed the drivers for my tilt, plugged in the USB cable, and it connected instantly the first time. Bluetooth pairing was simple.

Initial impressions are very good. Build quality seems good, it actually seems more sturdy than my Dell laptops. Keyboard takes a bit of getting used to, but its much more effective than the thumb keyboard. The screen is vivid and easy for my over 40 eyes to read.

Opera 8.65, Textmaker, PocketInformant, Flexmail and a few other programs I've tried so far work perfectly. There is a bit of artifact on my today screen with 2 of the today plugins I use (SPB Time and Phone Alarm) but nothing serious - the PocketBreeze today screen displays fine. Phone alarm may be due to the skin I happen to be using.

Bottom line - initial impressions indicate the glowing reviews were accurate and deserved. I'll leave my impressions on Amazon after I've had some additional time with it.

Thats to all for thier feedback!

Don
