I just bought a Surface Pro 4 ... HELP!

After months of convincing my bf to get a Surface Pro over a macbook, he bit the bullet on Wednesday night and picked up a SP4. He loves it, but today, one of the display drivers crashed and "recovered". Later, he noticed that random letters would be missing in Edge browser tabs. He checked for updates and lo and behold there was an update available. Updated. Now the screen flickers uncontrollably and is tinted red. It gets worse every time he restarts.

He's returning it tonight. All that hard work to get him to go for the Surface is down the drain.
I would suggest trading it in and opening the next one in the store and have them check.

I get the display driver error, but only when using Edge. I haven't had any issues (yet) with using Chrome.

I haven't touched Edge at all today and the machine's been totally stable. So far the only issue in the reliability monitor is a calendar crash, which I don't even remember happening. So weird.

I would suggest that you return the device to the store. Send the message to Microsoft to release products that are reliable out of the box. Spending days on a forum to figure out the bugs in your brand new $1000+ device is ludicrous.

It's like buying a new car and having it break down 10 times in 2 days. These are not new devices this is the Surface Pro FOUR not one.
