i lost my ability to access my contacts what happened?

Ever since I upgraded my Lumia 635 to Windows 10 I have regretted it. I know I can't go back either. But recently, I cannot access my contacts no matter how hard I try. It says "loading" then for split second goes to the contact then goes back to where ever I was before. Maybe something in settings? Or I selected (or cell selected) Outlook instead of Microsoft, or I added a app called Truecaller.
Help, I need the numbers to call some important contacts.

If you have used a outlook.com account with your 635 and have been saving contacts to your the aforesaid account. Simply log into outlook.com and click on the square icon on the top left corner, select people and all your contacts will be there.

Also can you search using the dialer, as WP10 supports smart dialling you can use the dialler to bring up the numbers.

Lastly I presuming a soft reboot (volume down + power key) or battery pull didn't help?
