I found about the threshold update last Friday(11/13/2015) but everytime I got to windows update and check for updates, it says everything is up to date.
It still reports everything is up to date today (11/15/2015). Does this mean there is something wrong with my desktop pc? Winver still reports my OS as build 10240.

I have home version so I cant defer updates. I installed windows 10 well beyond 31 days, somewhere in August.

I got my update on Windows Update on friday night, like at 9pm. a laptop here in the house got it on Thursday.
so I don't think something is wrong with your computer, you only need to wait for it to appear. if you get Defender updates and other updates, I am sure you would get the TH2 update easily when it's available for you.
What I did to make sure everything would be okay, was to delete DataStore on C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution when I stop Windows Update service on task manager.
don't think it was necessary to get the update but at least there wasn't errors or anything, especially on the laptop where it failed to install first time so I redownload it that way.

You could also use Media Creation tool if you want the update today, right now. easy to do it through there.

The tool and ISO's burned to disk fail every time. I haven't seen it in WU either yet.

I had a horrible experience with this update. It pretty much bricked my computer. Now I am considering whether to even reinstall windows 10. I'm probably not the only one to have had major issues. I guess I am saying don't be in such a hurry to get threshold.
