I think they may kill Cortana

So we all want Cortana to be the name of Microsoft's personal assistant right? Hell yeah we do! Well, that got me thinking....

If history repeats itself and Microsoft basically does to Cortana what it did to Surface, that is rebrand it to pixelsense, well... Are they gonna kill Cortana? I mean, she's suffering from rampancy and Microsoft could take a cop out and just make a new AI. I'm not privy with legal matters, but I think Cortana is trademarked by 343 studios and I'm not sure if a co-trademark exists, does it? Anyways, I'm probably not getting asleep until I figure this out so can someone explain how they could legally pull this off.
