i5 and i7 specs comparison?

Does anyone know where to find the difference between these, like the actual specs?

I have an i5 Sandy bridge and an i7 Ivy Bridge at home and the difference is minimal to be honest, so im inclined to believe the difference between these will be even less.

However, I want my machine to be able to run VM's so would an i7 be better? I obviously know I'll need 8GB, annoying there is no 16GB as its a 'Pro' machine.

The core i7 is clocked higher, has more cache, and has better branch prediction.

MSFT didn't give out any i7 versions so you'll have to wait. anandtech has a few benchmarks already for the i5. if you look at ultrabooks with i7s vs i5s from this hasswell generation, then you can extrapolate it.
