Well my ICON died today. It has worked flawlessly since last April, then this afternoon with 90% charge it died. Would not power up. I've tried every trick in the book & had to file a claim & get a new one sent under warranty.

Can always get a replacement battery online, not too hard to pop the back cover off if your warranty is out.

New ICON will be here Monday. Replaced for free under extended warranty. I almost had a thought to switch just to see what I have been missing, but I'll wait to see what MS comes up with & does over the next couple of years.

Hey, that's great. Was it Microsoft's extended warranty?

Great you got you Icon replaced. It's a great phone.. Have loved mine since day one. Maybe Verizon's next phone will be a icon xl lol.

New Icon came. setup went smoothly. Now do I move build 10166?

If you'd like to. It's a fairly smooth experience for me. Still some hiccups. There's a lot of feedback on this in the Windows 10 thread in the Icon subsection.

Did your Icon come used or new? I've heard Verizon's warranty devices are generally refurbished.

All warranty replacements are factory refurbished unless your under 30 days then you get new. Already installed Build 10166, out is Light Yeats better than the last Build. My Battery life is in insanely good. I'm at 47% charge left since 6:25 my last icon would be in the teens by now. I did hard reset before and after install
