That's great! I hope that we begin to see more people posting in this thread now that Denim/8.1 is finally out on the Icon.

Welcome to Windows Central! Hope you enjoy your phone like the rest of us do. Please let me know if you have any questions.

I got mine back in August from Verizon on an upgrade for free, replacing a dying Moto Razr. Great phone, great OS, although now that I have Denim my phone ringer and vibrate don't work.

Have you tried a soft reset? Just hold the power button down for about 15 seconds, or until the phone vibrates. I think that should fix that.

I have had an Icon since last summer, replaced a 928 that I passed on to my son. I was starting to lose hope about ever getting Denim, came really close to replacing the Icon just to get BT LE, I am glad i stuck it out. The camera is so much faster and I finally have the Pebble app working too!

New windows phone user here....Black Icon ftw!

I got my first smart phone (flashed Moto G on PP) finally last November. I always held off because of added monthly cost since I am always on a PC and having wifi all around with a Nexus 7 tablet. I used my phone for talking and some texts up till then.

That said, my phone prior to the moto g was a Kin Twom that I felt was Verizon's best dumb phone, though it had some quirks. Talking and texting were great on it with awesome voice quality and simple and quick touch UI. After the digitizer failed on a few of them and using them since 2010.....I wanted to have a better and larger texting phone. Then being off a contract I was free to use prepay services using verizons towers....for cheap!

I like android and both the Nexus 7 2013 and Moto G first gen. But I had always wanted a good Windows Phone because of the awesome cameras.

I got a excellent shape manufacture refurb'd Black Icon off the bay for a great price. I'm excited to use the Icon for a daily driver now and the new Denim update to the camera just sweetened the deal even that much more!

I will not worry in the least that I have to give up a few apps on my android phone for the WICKED AWESOME camera and super fast smooth UI on the Icon. Pretty happy camper I am now.

Quick question...know Verizon "retired" the Icon several months ago, but can you still find stock in some stores?

Love my Icon! I purchased an Ebay refurb 3 months ago and put it on Page Plus (a Verizon MVNO). The only issue so far is that the 5GHz WiFi broke after the Denim update. I don't particularly feel like doing a hard reset to try to fix it though, at least not yet.

I think it's an interesting dichotomy that despite Page Plus not being able to claim "Verizon" on their website, my phone says "Verizon Wireless LTE" in the top bar. Not much of a secret... For comparison, my old 920 on another MVNO said "H2O" in that location instead of "AT&T".

it was on display at my Verizon store on Saturday but he checked around for hundreds of miles and didn't find any - but I checked the Microsoft store and white was available with my upgrade for $99, then checked Amazon and both were available, used my upgrade at $.01. Mine arrived Monday and I'm so happy with it (broke my 928 screen a couple weeks ago)

I went to a 928 a couple months ago - broke the screen a couple weeks ago and had to go back to using my Note 2 until I found the Icon at Amazon.

I received it on Monday, very happy to be back on Windows!

Just joined this forum as I've moved up from a Galaxy Note 2 to the Icon. My first Windows phone since the HTC Touch Pro 2. Nice to be back in a Windows environment! I am liking the Denim update but I really got this phone for Windows 10. Might be putting the cart before the horse but I'm all in for 10!

BELIEVE IT OR NOT! Two weeks ago I sold my ICON in favor of my Note 4. Don't get me wrong, the Note 4 is a good large phone. After a few days, I gave myself the palm to the forehead smack asking myself "What have I done?"

Well to remedy the terrible oversight, I started looking for another ICON and found one locally at a good price and was in great condition so I hustle to my car and off I went. Paid my money and just sat in the parking lot at Jack in the Box and fondled my new toy. Once the realism set in that I had, indeed, secured another ICON, I happily drove home.

I have now made a pact with myself that I may use the Note 4 at times and the ICON at times but won't rid myself of it until I see the right WP with Win 10 loaded native and it will then become my backup.

The Note 4 is a great phone, good quality and has all I should need "BUT", it ain't WP. So, I shall endeavor to take photos of the Note 4, paste it on Swappa and see what happens.

Thank you all for your patience. I've done this before. This makes my 6th ICON over the lifetime it's been available. My favorite number is 6 so that should tell you I have settled into a more sensible life style.
