I thinks its odd to but they did say it works well with a mouse and keyboard interface ... Go back and listen to the video .

Just watched it again, and I think it would be a huge mistake to put Windows 8 on standard computers, it's obviously optimized for touch screen use (seeing as how the entire demo was done on a touch screen). If it does make its way to standard PC's, I sure hope they give a "Classic" view option, to make your display look more like that of Windows 7, because there are going to be a ton of people who HATE the tile layout. I like the live tile UI, but I think it needs to stay on tablets and smart phones.

it gets even more baffeling, too. Both the tablet and normal desktop will have th Sam os. The metro layer on top of the old style windows 7 desktop. Why would they do this makes no sense and is very fragmented.

If i remember from the intro video "classic" is underneath and you can toggle between the two via a setting.
