I remember hearing this on the video as well...I thinks its odd to but they did say it works well with a mouse and keyboard interface ... Go back and listen to the video .

Just watched it again, and I think it would be a huge mistake to put Windows 8 on standard computers, it's obviously optimized for touch screen use (seeing as how the entire demo was done on a touch screen). If it does make its way to standard PC's, I sure hope they give a "Classic" view option, to make your display look more like that of Windows 7, because there are going to be a ton of people who HATE the tile layout. I like the live tile UI, but I think it needs to stay on tablets and smart phones.
