IE10 on WP8 - font looks blocky

Hello,

I just got the 820 and loving it apart from having to use IE10 on it. The fonts looks pretty bad, blocky and I need to zoom in to read it. I'm coming from iOS and I'm a Mac user so I'm use to nice rendering fonts in webkit browsers (mostly Chrome.) I saw some negative comments towards IE10 on desktops for it's use to font rendering.

Maybe it's my designer brain being overly critical, does it bug anyone else?

I'm not seeing it. I am looking at the font in mobile IE10 and it's nice and smooth and rounded. Also I have desktop IE10 and it looks FAR superior to Chrome and Safari.

I think it pretty much depends if the font is web-safe or not. WOFF, Typekit and Google Fonts work nicely with mobile IE10.
Not sure if it works perfectly with EOT, OTF, SVG.
That could be the reason if you are noticing them on only some websites.

Yes, I think it's more standard webfonts like Arial and Verdana that look bad. Google fonts/ font-face seem much better.

These fonts seem much thicker on my 820 than my iPhone, resulting in having to zoom in to stand any chance of reading it if they are on the small side.
