IE11 - more than 4 tabs?

I was wondering if it was possible to swap between more than 4 tabs in IE (in metro mode)? Seems like when I go over 4 tabs the 5th and above just get dumped into some tab abyss in which they only appear if I start to close tabs 1 - 4. What's more annoying about this is the 4 tabs are only using up about half of the screen, they could fit in a load more. Am I missing something? As this seems like a huge oversight if not...

Just as a test I opened up 11 tabs and loaded a different web page on each. No problems that I see.

That happens to me sometimes. I think its a bug. Restarting fixes for me

Yeah, I was confused too. I think I rectified it on my Dell Venue 8 Pro by turning the screen, and then turning it back.
