If I buy an Xbox One in the UK will it work in The Netherlands?

now I am sure it will work for single player BUT will I be able to use it online? I know there was talk early on about this being an issue, the fact the XBone is so bloody delayed coming out in NL Ill pick one up when I am home for Xmas!

Yes all xbones are region free. Developers are able to region lock their software tho i dont think any games are at this point.

But will live work, according to xbox website live isnt available in the Netherlands which would be strange, as I am English I dont care about it being in Dutch

Just choose your region as UK then. You can change it to dutch if you want when it's released.

I think the biggest risk would be in the bluray regions. I believe those are still regional and if you buy/rent/borrow BD-movies from Netherlands, they may not be compatible with the UK region bluray player in the Xbox One. They might be in the same region too, I dont know.

EDIT: False alarm, it seems vast majority of Europe are in the same region for bluray.
