If I buy the Surface Book in US does warranty work in UK/Europe?

Hi there,

I have a few friends visiting the US soon and I was about to ask them to bring me a Surface Book due to the huge price difference. Do you know if taxes have to be paid when coming back and/or if the warranty works in the UK/Europe?
