If I lose a software update, will I not receive the newest?

if i lose a software update i won't recived the newest?

i have a nokia lumia 625 i have the same software since i bought it (1 year ago). I didn't recived the black update software .... now can i recived the cyan or denim update software for my device?

Yes you can find an update.
Go to settings>Phone update>Check for updates.
