My only worry was the ram but in my use it had not affected performance one bit. Yes, the background apps close faster than one with more ram is used to, but overall i have been very pleased with this phone. The screen quality is great despite the resolution.

I have the Cricket 630. It was unbelievably inexpensive. I like the phone a lot and disagree with the original poster. And the comment about the weight of the phone seems just flat out wrong.

Bought a 635 yesterday at ATT. Very pleased with it and it has everything I need. The guy at the ATT store couldn't get over how nice the phone was, especially for the price. I agree.

I'll end with "If you are thinking about buying the phone...do".

No problems here.........no way I'm spending money on a ?500 phone, I'm clumsy as hell..... This is a cool slick and fresh Lumia. The battery could be better(I'm running the beta live lock though)
xbox music works like a dream on this.

Well,i have no issues with speed, camera quality in daylight is pretty decent for the price, decent screen, decent build, call quality and video is fine on mine, and also camera using 1 second exposure comes out clear at night with good lighting around

I will say the "squeegee" effect on the screen is something I experienced when I first took the screen protector off that came on my att 635.

It seems they use an adhesive to secure the protector instead of static.

After spraying the screen with some cleaner and wiping it down with a microfiber cloth, the screen no longer has any drag and feels great.

I played with it today! Freaking finally. I am using a nexus 5 at the moment (sorry). I immediately noticed a difference in smoothness. The camera doesn't even compete with my nexus 5 camera. But what am i expecting from a phone a third of the price of my nexus? For 130 dollars, i dont see a reason to expect more. It is a brilliant phone. I thought the onscreen buttons would annoy me because they are small and take away from the already tiny (relative spec) screen. To be honest, it didnt bother me in the slightest. It is still fast. It has windows 8.1 and cortana. The screen goes full black when it is off, and it looks sexy. It is light. And even if the camera isn't the best, it still works great! Im not expecting a 1020 camera for 130 now.

For 130 dollars, i might get it just to be able to use WiFi calling. (Im moving to my university soon, and i get terrible reception on my phone. Or maybe it is tmobile? But no biggie. The lumia 635 is an excellent phone for the job until i get a rumored 1525) :)

the on-screen buttons do not take away from the spec of the display; extra pixels were provided for them.

I personally just meant "taking away from screen space" or from the display size. But again, not really a bother once played with.

Tactile Quality: I don't even know how to describe this. But the phones screen has this..resistance when you glide your fingers across it, they catch. Like using a squeegee on a car window is the best way i can describe it. However I LOVE how easy it is to peal off the back cover. Tho once you do, you can no longer activate the device. The buttons are attach to the back cover.

I have to ask, did you clean the screen off with a good lens or glass cleanser and a micro fiber cloth after taking off the protective film?

I ask because my screen was slightly tacky and stiff feeling until I did just that. Now it is smooth as butter. For some reason Nokia uses a protective film that leaves behind a residue and for some reason people assume they don't need to wipe off the screen after getting the phone.

Normally I would recommend a motorola E, G or X. But with Motorola on the boycott list for their involvement in Israel I can't think of a more complete budget phone. Microsoft needs to take advantage of this new opportunity. I don't understand why this phone exits in a world where there is a 530. But I guess MSFT has the resources to have different plays in different markets.

After initial screen use, like once oils from fingers got on screen even after wiping off mine started to glide nicely. There was resistance at first as well now gone.

What the heck is this guy's problem? It's a $130 phone. In my opinion, it handily beats the Moto E for the price due to its better camera. Screen isn't as sharp, but at least you get LTE!

Picked this up for $99 on ATT. Gonna use it as a backup device when I go camping tomorrow. Overall I'm pleasantly surprised with this device. I read a handful of online reviews before buying and most dogged this phone. However, it seems like money well spent.

The 635 is a good device for a lot of people.

I got one for each of my grandparents to try their hands at smartphones. They're not that old (68 and 73, respectively) but get afraid they might break expensive things. For $100, they needn't worry. They're putting in their own contacts, making calendar appointments, and checking weather for upcoming trips--and they don't even have them on cell service yet!

I tried the 635 and rather like it. Won't become my daily driver, but it's definitely an upgrade to the 520. I'm keeping the 520 as my primary windows phone (I use an HTC One and Moto G ahead of it) until the 730 and 830 come out. I want to see what they bring to the table.

For a more basic smartphone user, or one who doesn't need cameras for selfies or personal photography, the 635 does quite well.

If you're thinking about it, make the jump. Well worth it.
