I was getting one bar and dropped calls this morning in a conference room on the 15th floor in downtown Houston that I have used many times with my iPhone 4 with no problems. I called ATT, they did something, I cycled the power, and had 5 bars in the same spot. Very happy to have good reception now!

i dont understand how its possible for them to adjust that from their end? they some how turned up the tower nearest to you? why wouldnt they just leave it at that signal all the time..?

confused.

I don't get it either, but they can do something called "reprovisioning", where some data downloads to the phone when the power is cycled. Perhaps it was not talking to the closest tower?
