Improved battery

So I own a Lumia 925 and the battery life on that phone is mediocre at best but I've noticed a dramatic improvement after updating my phone to windows phone 8.1 developers preview today, has anyone else noticed any difference in their battery performance? Or even general phone performance regarding speed? I have noticed apps actually open slightly slower than usual and some even tend not to open properly
