Insider build vs Product build for 950xl

According to the title, which is better on battery and performance?
I just got 950xl today and the battery life is poor and getting hot, even on the latest build(.29) and firmware.
Can anyone share their experience?

Wait a few days. The system/battery apparently takes a few days before it settled. The device getting hot is an indication it's doing something. A soft reset might help (press the power button and keep it held until you see the slide down message, then do what it says). Restart the device when it's shut down and see if that helps the heat.

Your phone is probably downloading several app updates. After my 950xl updated firmware and software, there were about 50 app updates waiting to download. If you reset your phone you'll just delay the updates. Put it down until it's done updating everything
