Hello guys I haven't had an update on my SP4 in a while on fast ring. I am still on 10542 and can't move forward. Is there a fix for this outside of wiping the machine?

I assume you meant 15042, not 10542.

Suggestion only :

Use this link to download build 15058 iso file.
Burn the iso file to a bootable media (DVD or USB).
Use the media to do a Clean Install.

I suggested Clean Install because you might have something that has prevented the system to update.
Clean Install will in fact start fresh. No carry-over baggage.

After 15058 is installed successfully and activated, hopefully, Windows Update will offer you the most current build 15063.

I was hoping there was a workaround... I will consider it maybe next week when I have a bit more down time. I wonder what caused this issue...

OK. Have a look at this tutorial.

It is to reset Windows Update.

excerpt :
Sometimes you may have an issue with Windows Update such as not being able to download or install updates, error messages, not being able to search for new updates, etc. These kind of issues can occur when the Windows Update database or components are corrupted, one or more services related to Windows Update are not running, etc.

Actually with the 15063 iso it let me just perform updates and no reset at all. Now my windows hello works again as well :)

Good to know you are now back in business.
I did NOT realize that MS is giving out 15063 iso file.

That IS a huge surprise.
Looks like 15063 IS the new RTM build comes April 11th.

Now that you have insider build 15063.0 , go to Windows Update and install cumulative update KB4016250.
That will bring your build to 15063.11
