as usual, MS is playing "microsoft labs", and has their minion nerds experimenting and having fun, while others deliver.
This was my reaction two weeks ago:

Why instead of releasing a technical paper detailing the technology so that anyone can adopt it, don't they release a Lumia Pure View model just centered around this, like a sports/outdoor/radical model with this technology? And now, there you have it, Instagram releases a proper app, MS will deliver a beta app in a year or who knows when.

Yeah wish my nice Carl Zeiss lens could produce some hyperlapses we know instagram will never bring it to windows phone.

I'm waiting for the Android version for this app with bates breath, though I do hope for your sake that this app comes on Windows Phone.
