I have friends and co-workers in Germany. During the holidays I received several text messages and repsonded to them. Anyone know if you send a text message to Europe if it counts as a regular text message (I have a limit of 250 per month under my plan - Verizon) or am I also charged as if I made an international call?

On T-Mobile I am charged a seperate International Text fee per text sent. I think its either .20 or .30

Since we have unlimited text messaging, AT&T won't charge us for the incoming texts no matter where they originate from, however we get charged 0.25 for each international text we send. So if we get a text from Europe saying "I'll call tonight" and we reply "Ok", that's 25 cents, LOL!

Yeah. With AT&T, I get charged $0.25 for every text I send internationally.

If it is only $0.25 a text that that is no problem as I only send 1-2 a month, I just didn't want to see each int'l text was costing me $1-$2.

Please note I can only speak for AT&T.
