Internet Explorer Speedup

I'm still on windows 8.1 for a number of reasons, but for the longest time I was experiencing numerous issues with IE11 crashing, etc. Recently, I got to the point where I was going to refresh the PC, but instead opted to "reinstall" IE11 and now it is like I have a brand new browser. Here were my steps:

1. Go to Windows Features and uncheck IE11.
2. Restart the computer.
3. Go to Windows Features and check IE11.
4. Restart the computer.

Something so simple revitalized IE11 for my SP3. I'm curious if a similar procedure would work for those having issues on W10 or for issues with the Edge browser.

You probably just had an ActiveX control (add-on) installed that slowed you down. Would probably have been enough to just remove or deactivate it. If you really want to speed up IE, install tracking protection lists.

Yes, but it also doesn't crash every 10 min or load completely blank websites.
