Internet starts working only after clicking the Wi-Fi icon.

So the internet connection on my PC has been quite dodgy the last few weeks. Every 15 or so minutes, webpages refuse to load with the error "No Internet". But as soon as I click the Wi-Fi icon on the taskbar to pull up the list of wireless connections, the pages start to load again without any issue. The first time it happened, I thought it was just a coincidence. But then it keeps happening, its frustrating. Any thoughts?

Note: (I have a built-in wireless adapter. I get a constant 2/3 bars on the Wi-Fi icon.)

A couple things to try: 1) Check if there's an updated driver for the wireless adapter 2) Go to the power management tab in the properties of the adapter and disable "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" if it's enabled.

Does resetting the router help? Where actually is the router you connect to and what type of network is it? What happens if you use a LAN connection instead? Is is still the same?
