Ipad 9.7 2018 vs Surface Go for Reading PDFs for school.

So I am heading back to school for this September for nursing. I already have a Thinkpad that I will use to do most of the office task in. I was looking at getting a tablet to compliment the Thinkpad in my work flow.

The tablet would mainly be used for reading etextbooks, and a bit of Web browsing. But any typing will be done on my Thinkpad. Do you think I will be better off getting their Ipad instead of the Surface Go?

My local bank has a promotion for an Ipad 9.7 32gb selling it for $180 cad, while a Surface Go would run me at least $600 cad. So I am leaning towards getting the Ipad for the cost savings too.

I would recommend the iPad for what you're plan to use it for. Used mine for reading and marking up PDFs through school and it was great. Recently got a surface pro and while I like it, for reading PDFs the iPad seems better.

Get the iPad. There are several healthcare related apps that aren't available for android, let alone iOS. Apple owns the Healthcare space for better or worse and you will do yourself a major disservice if you pick another platform.
