iPhone hotspot issues?

I'm trying to tether surface to my iPhone but its not even showing up in the wifi on the surface. Has anyone tried this yet?

Yup. Had no issue seeing my wifes iPhone WiFi yesterday. Can you see the hotspot on other devices?

Yeah I had it hooked up to my play book fine.. Surface doesn't even see it! Thanks for letting me know its working though.. Kinda getting annoyed with it but il keep trying things

I will give it a quick try and test with my iPhone. Although i did have a similar issue at work we have now many wireless LAN but the one I wanted wouldn't show up until I manually added the SSID and then it showed up in the list.

Edit: Looks like since my move to t Mobile last week I don't seem to have tethering enabled anymore so will need to call them tomorrow to get it enabled.

Well hotspot is working on every device I have except the Surface it just simply will not see the iPhone.

FWIW Surface is connecting fine to FoxFi running on my Droid RAZR.

Okay resolved this Why can't i see my personal hotspot fm my iphone on my new surface - Microsoft Community

Apparently surface doesn't like special characters in the SSID, removed the ' restarted the handset and now working.
