Is 950XL better than 950?

I'd say it's nigh on impossible for the XL to be worse than the 950, at least in my experience (the 950 has given me endless trouble since day one). Still, an upgrade is probably just spending good money after bad; keep whatcha got and get a Surface Phone when it comes out.

All high powered devices will get warm if you're playing a game or watching a video for an hour.

I think it depends on the design, the metal on the iPhone is very good at maintaining a good temperature. However, they're different devices different devices, so I guess you're right (plastic exterior, therefore, a removeable battery, for example.)

For me, personally, it has a lot of overheating issues. There are others saying it has a bit of a problem handling the heat, especially reviews of the phone. For example, when downloading a game, watching a video. I'd say the heat of the Lumia950xl is analogous to a warm cup fo coffee.

Can't be worse than the heat that the 920 gave off! LOL

Haha, more efficient processors are being made. For example, Apple's A10 chip and Intel's new Kaby Lake processors. These factors help reduce the heat and increase battery life. Also, engineers are coming up with ways to cool these guys. Yeah, it depends on the device for heat, regardless of how powerful it is (unless it is too powerful for heating methods to catch up too).

Actually, it somewhat depends on how the device's cooling system operates, too, I guess (there's a lot of factors besides what processor is in the device). I mean, Apple's A10 chip is more powerful than the snapdragon 810 and it is more efficent, (and cooler) but that doesn't apply to everything (I just realised that I'm arguing with myself).

Sorry if I sound confusing, the sentence is a mess.
