Dan just came out with an article calling it the best laptop under$2k, a price point which omits the dGPU that struggled the most with glitches. In fairness, its clear that the biggest issue that Surface Book faced at launch was the Skylake CPU, which was brand new at release. All Skylake powered gear, including the Dell XPS and others, struggled with Skylake glitches. Most of that has been corrected, and I have learned to live with the screen discoloration. Still, i think thats why Microsoft just refreshed the Surface Book rather than announce the SB2. They dont want to repeat the mistake with Kaby Lake. I suspect that the Surface Studio is powered by Skylake for the same reason - they know what needs to be done to make it work.Do you think he would name it the best ultrabook and then write a bad review? It's way too late now to write a review as a refresh of this model is right around the corner.
