re:

Don't know if I've got a faulty phone then because mine lasts less than 8 hours when I'm using it moderately.

Are you using the WP8.1 DP, I found a factory reset helps with that. I do know that the ATIV SE has issue with the DP though and this might be one of them.

If not then it might be the battery and the only way to test that is in another phone, unless anyone has any other ideas?

No its not broken, but the battery life I am not happy with, and I agree with you, its a perfectly adequate phone for the time being, I tend to replace my phone every two years so had the ATIV SE lined up for 2015.
If the battery life is not good then just swipe another battery, new one, you can find it very very cheap an original ATIV S battery on eBay, amazon, or any site like that. That's one of the advantages of ATIV S, you can change the battery. If it works perfectly for you now (despite the battery issue), why change the winning team cuz of the battery who can be replaced? I own ATIV S i8750, and i'm in love with that phone, and i would replace it when it will start to fall apart. :) But thats me, and i think neo158 is in the same boat with me :)

Yeah I have the DP, but the battery was as bad beforehand. Also it takes about 5 hours to charge from about 10% to full, is that normal?
No thats not normal, usually longest is around 3 hours, but as i answer you before, I think your battery sux, so before jump into a new phone ditching perfectly capable phone as ATIV S, try with a new original battery for ATIV S, you can find them everywhere and they are cheap. Try with that, and see if the battery issue will be gone, and before that, try with a hard reset as neo158 suggested you :)
And please if you do, post the results here so everyone can read and learn :)

I'm on my second battery also, though the Original one was still quite good (one day with normal use). But I bought a very cheap battery from internet (€6,50 including shipping...), disadvantage is it has no NFC antenna, but I don't use NFC at the moment and the battery is so good I decided to keep it in active service and store the original battery as a backup (take it with me when I know I might empty the other battery). The original batteries with NFC are more expensive, but still much cheaper than a new Phone!

I want this phone so much. I think it is better than the Nokia Lumia 930 and the HTC One M8 for obvious reasons. Come to UK. NOW! 😊

Personally I would prefer an ATIV Alpha, based on the Galaxy Alpha, with wireless charging and expandable storage.

Re:

Yeah I was wondering this too, sad if it doesn't reach Europe as I had eyed it up as a replacement for my ATIV S.

The same here, slowly it is time to upgrade even if the phone works well.
Some apps need Win 10 and nowadays one needs some better hardware as well.
