is it possible to prevent the volume up/down button to increase/decrease the ringtone volume

Hello everyone,
I wanted to ask if it is possible somehow to disable the option which causes the ringtone to increase/decrease by pressing the up/down volume button. Because often times upon pressing the volume button accidentally, my ringtone volume is changed which I find out later after missing some calls.
