Is it safe to remove the 3D Objects folder?

I tried disbaling it with ShellExView and I get this message "The shell extensions of shell32.dll are a part of the operating system and disabling them may lead to a system that cannot boot properly. Do you want to disable them anyways?". How can disabling a useless folder cause so much trouble? I'm curious if anyone has done this before. Thank you!

It is usually an empty folder taking up no space. Don't see it causing any trouble, why worry about it?

I believe you can just uninstall the main 3D Objects app. Messing around with shell32 stuff never ends well.
