Windows Central Question

Is it true that Microsoft will be charging for Windows 10 a year after it is released

Is it true? So what happens if I delete the upgrade after the year mark, will I have to pay to restore it? Seems a bit much.

If you have your key, you should be fine. Magical Jellybean is a program that will extract your Windows key. Either print it out, or email it to yourself. Or both.

If you're asking about a subscription: NO+NO.JPG

After a year, NEW upgrades will cost money, as they always have. In this case, what gamo said.

I admit there is confusion though.

Supposedly there is a machine identifier tied to your MS account. If that didn't work a phone call probably would.

Failing all that the os is essentially functional even without being activated. You just get a watermark and can't change your wallpaper unless you do it from the photo app.
