Is lumia gdr3 update = to lumia black?

Gdr 3 is update by microsoft which brings new features like rotation lock,bug fix,etc where as black update is by Nokia (oem) which included glance improvement,camera algorithm,etc

Microsoft updates are for OS enhancement features
Nokia updates meanwhile are for connecting hardware with software platform.

A preview for WP8 Update 3 is already available. Lumia Black is supposed to be available soon.

1. You can install the preview. You will need a developer account.
2. All software have bugs. This is not an exception.
3. It will void your warranty, for one. Read some of the threads about user experiences with the preview.
4. Again, read some of the threads. Or go to the update page on the WP website.
