Is my TELUS ativ unlocked?

Did my TELUS ativ come already unlocked or will I have to pay to get it unlocked to travel to the us?

if you just bought it chances are it's locked, put in a different sim to find out.

That's what I figured, but some phones in the stable were bought from TELUS unlocked.

I agree with Waving. It's likely locked, but the best way to find out is to put in a different SIM.
