Nokia Lumia 630’s specs revealed, running Windows Phone 8.1 and expected for mid-April in China | Windows Phone Central
i have saw this post about the nokia lumia 630, spec:
4.5 inches touch screen 854x480 resolution
Virtual touch keys Size: 129.5 x 66.7mm.
1GB RAM Dual SIM (variant)

but, does it has ClearBlack, IPS LCD, Cellular and Wi-Fi network positioning, A-GPS, A-GLONASS, Magnetometer?
i wanted to buy a phone with magnetometer to use city lens, but 625 doesn't have and 5xx series too, how do you think?
will 630 like 620 and have double size of the RAM and bigger size of the display? or like 625, doesn't have clearblack, magnetometer and network positioning?

So far all the rumors are showing lower specs than the 620 aside from physical size. No front facing camera, and no camera button. And same 5mp camera. Dual core snapdragon processor, and 480x854 resolution. Hopefully those are really the 530 specs lol

edit: Scratch that, the latest article on neowin said those specs are for the 530 or maybe even a lower end 3xx series. I agree with above that we should wait and see what the real specs will be :D

I bet so many were waiting for a Lumia 420. Ah well. The 520 is already scraping the bottom, I dont know what else can be cut other than essentials and performance.

The 1GB Ram would be a nice improvement. I wouldn't mind if the display remained 4,7" and they made the resolution higher than 854x480. But I guess it would not be a low / mid range anymore

Doesn't sounds like an upgrade. I guess it's a new phone in it's own.

See in the past step from 7.x phones to 8.0, there's not that "successor" thing.

Camera and capacitive button will be a high-end feature now, the priority is to cut the costs.

For me, they can even cut every button but the power one.

Lumia 630 will not be the solid budget phone the 620 was (or 710 in previous geneation), it will be the reasonable dual-sim slight above from the low-end.

It's a confortable place to stay, this phone must rock there with dual-sim variant.

I honestly don't see it as an upgrade from the 620. There are certain features lacking in the 630 that the 620 has in spite of the 620 having a smaller screen.

So damn disappointed. Going to keep my 810 a bit longer and upgrade it to WP8.1 via Preview for Developers. The Nexus 4 is going to my brother and I am going to spring for a MotoG.....

The 630's more like a spiritual successor to the 520 with design cues from the 620. I mean, 620's got more features than the 630, it's definitely not an "upgrade" to it.

When features like front facing camera, LED Flash, camera button, and NFC are removed, no it's not really an upgrade.

Definitely a downgrade and what an awesome opportunity to stick it to Android/Moto G!! The 630 is more like a 522 since 525 has more RAM!!!

I would love to purchase the dual sim 630, but with only 512mb RAM & no flash... Its waste of money...I thought this phone is an upgrade to 620 or even 625... sad

will there be 638 - same as 620, but screen bigger, on-screen key, 1GB RAM
The small screen size, battery, camera and 512 MB ram is what kept the NL620 in the price range fitting the 6xx series. Ask for a 620 with a Bigger screen, battery, camera and 1GB RAM and you're actually talking more about an 8xx phone.

There's no mention on the Nokia UK site of Compass (Magnetometer). Under sensors it just lists Accelerometer. No Proximity, and no Ambient light sensor either.

I'd look at this as the 635 being the replacement of the 625, and the 630 is just an LTE less 635. Even then, they've rejigged a few things:

625>635

Gains
Quad Core
Gorilla Glass 3
ClearBlack

Losses
Super sensitive touch
FF Camera
Camera Button
Flash
Maybe light and proximity sensor
Marginally smaller screen
Marginally smaller battery
Marginally smaller price

OK, scratch the thing about the light and proximity sensors. I thought it was odd which is why I put "maybe" ahead of it, touchscreen phones need the light sensor to optimise battery life, and the proximity sensor so you don't hand up a call with your ear
