Is the battery pushing Sim1 into position by design?

Just wondering if my Sim 1 "catch" is inoperable or if this is by design?
Phone works.

NO!!... you have been inserted it wrongly. it's not its design to have the battery pushing the sim card. if you insert the sim card correctly, the sim card won't get out even if there is no battery. you should push the sim card deeper into the slot until it won't rebound out.

Push SIM1 slowly right to the end until you hear a CLICK which means it is locked in position.:excited:

And to remove it after that, you push in on it again, it clicks and pushes itself out.

used a pen to push it up.
Lo and behold it stayed.
Tried it before with my stubby fingers and it was a no-go.
