Is the Surface Pro 2017 good for windows/web applications?

Hi,

I am just wondering is the Surface Pro (2017) good for development?

I will be using VS 2017, SQL Server 14, Github and VS Code.

I am planning on buying the Surface Pro 2017 with i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD.

As a developer who uses VS2017 I can say it will run on that Surface, but I use a laptop that has 1TB SSD, 16GB RAM and i7 and I’d like it faster at times.

But it depends on what you are doing. I run VMs and some very large projects. SSD space might become an issue over time as the tooling can use a lot of space.
