Is there a way to automate tasks in W10M?

I'm trying to figure out a way to turn on my wifi hotspot every time my phone connects to my car's bluetooth. Anyone know how to do it? There's not an option for it in Gadgets and an NFC tag doesn't work as far as i can tell.

Don't think can be done unless you created an app

The problem with the NFC tag is that it can open the Settings for Hotspot (or any other Settings related categories), but not change their state. It's part of the sandboxed nature of the OS.

Unless Msft hard codes it, not even an App would work.

In General, WM10 is so locked that even M$ has trouble implementing features.
e.g. gadgets hasnt been working for me, there are some times when a release of Groove works for more than a day over bluetooth before requiring a restart.

You should see the things i can do with my N9, but its not as secure. Get a Jolla if you want to do ANYTHING you want. Although Android is not bad either.
Look up profilematic, situations, etc.
