Hi Guys,

I am using L620 updated to DEV preview , the day updated to Dev Preview my mobile has lost the connectivity with the PC( but it charges). I tried as many as PCs and USB cables, nothing work so far, I had given up and Batter life lasts in 5 hrs ( even in Idle).

I would like to go back to 8.0 then upgrade it to official Cyan but unfortunately I dont have a choice to use Nokia Recovery tool since my USB doesnt work.

Is there any alternate way to do this ??

Appreaciate your help

Thanks

Have you deleted your drivers on the PC and try re-installing them? 99% of the time this will be the issue.

If you need help with that just leave a post asking for help and let me know what OS you are using on your PC so I can instruct you correctly.

No luck :( , I have done on the New system with windows 7, tried on XP too ..I did almost all the things to solve this.

lastly I tested with the same USB cable, Same machine but another Lumia 620 ( one of my friends one) , its worked to read it.

Anyhow , i am ready to do once again if you could help

Let's use Windows 7.

Disconnect your phone from the PC.

Try the following -

Start -> Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Device Manager (under the Devices and Printers)

Click on Portable Devices -> Right click on Windows Phone -> Click uninstall -> if a pop up comes up and says 'Delete drivers from PC' (or something like that) click Yes.

Close all the windows and click Start -> Control Panel -> Programs -> Uninstall Program -> Uninstall Nokia Cable Connectivity Cable Driver - if it's there

Restart your machine.

Once your machine is up again, unlock your phone and connect it to your PC. Make sure you're connected to the Internet. The drivers will re-install and this takes time. Wait for the balloon to come up to say it's done.

Once finished, ensure you can view folders on your phone then try the Nokia Software tool.

Give that a go.

Have you tried a hard reset on your phone? If the PC and cable are okay, logically the phone must be the problem, and if you can't use NSRT, then a hard reset is your best bet.

Is your USB shared on the PC? This can sometimes cause issues.

Have you tried another Windows 7 PC?

The last thing is that the USB on the phone is faulty. I can't think of anything else. If you can go back to where you bought it or send it in to Nokia Care that would be the only other option if it's still under warranty.

Tried with other pcs and USB is fine with other phones on the same pc.

And yeah, it could be USB issue, I have to check with Nokia Care.
