Are you asking for how to select only #G or not?

Can't say if its enabled on that phone, but dialing ##3282# opened up some cellular settings where that was an option.

You were saying?

You can only set the highest possible connection...it doesn't lock your connection, say to 3G....if you choose 3G there, you could still get 2G connection when 3G is not available...it doesn't lock...

Let say you have a very strong 2G signal and a very poor 3G signal....but still you got a 3G signal, just poor....your phone switches the connection to 2G even though you have a 3G connection, just weak, since you have a good 2G signal....in terms of internet/data speed, weak 3G signal is way faster than the good 2G signal....you can just move your phone somewhere to a where there's a better 3G coverage....got my point?...btw, mobile broadband has that option to lock to a certain network connection....i wonder why....my brain's not working... :)

My Windows phone always stucks with the network. Windows 10 really need good optimization for network connectivity!

My mother has a 535, the settings allow you to pick either 2G or 3G as highest connection speed. Its a UK CV firmware device on EE.

Yes lee...mine could also set the highest network connection, either 2G, 3G, or 4G...but it doesn't lock to a certain connection, say 3G only...currently, it will switch from 4G to 3G or to 2G if no 4G coverage.....i (we) want all or nothing....you got 3G signal, or no signal at all... :) I hope windows 10 will address this issue...It'll be greatly helpful if you live somewhere far away from the city, in which you need to climb way up high just to get a good 3G/4G signal...
