Is there plastic on the front facing camera on the HTC 8X?

Hey Everyone,

This is a dumb question, but is there a plastic sheet (like the initial protector sheet) that covers the front facing camera lens and flash? I have always had a yellow flash in all my photos when I use flash and I think this may be why. I caught my phone the other day when it was falling, and I grabbed it near the lenses. It looked like the plastic was bubbled and starting to rip. Should I remove it?

Thanks,
Mick

I had plastic on my main camera (rear). I used to get very bright patches at the left/right of the picture when Flash was on.
I took a chance and removed the cover. My pictures now do not have the patch with flash.
I am using a Lumia 620.
Bottom line, if its plastic and if your pictures are not coming out nice, you could try removing it.
Also see this link (that's my post for the same problem).

See the link in BigPaddy's reply. Very useful.
