Is Windows 8.1 safe to download?

As the title says, is this update safe to download or should I wait until the official update comes out?

It safe to download just remember it a preview so it may have bugs, issues and maybe unstable with certain application.

Also if you don't know how to get back to Windows 8, just wait for the final update.

Look at it this way. Are you going to put it on your main computer? Don't. Backup computer or secondary computer? Worth trying it out. I enjoy it. SOme of the new ways it handles snapping is nice and useful.

Betas are always buggy. Like Mase said, don't put in on your main box.
