Hi , I have posted lots of time on this , but no one noticed , even put in user voice.. Why we cant edit SMS validity on Lumia like other phones ? Why microsoft sleeping ignoring basic feature? on Symbian I had option to edit it even on 10 years old Symbian phone nokia 6600..
what I mean is suppose I sent SMS to my friend at 9 pm today IST , but his phone will b off for past 24 hours, next day at 9 pm today IST I will get notification ( delivery to receipt failed). on symbian we could edit it & set from 1 hour to maximum time.., in-between option were 3 day , 15 days , 20 days to maximum time ... I hv written feature suggest in user voice etc as well

I haven't seen you post this before in the forums, but if you have and we ignored it, then we're sorry :)

Even if you have posted this over at uservoice, you need a certain amount of votes, before MS will consider working/adding the feature.

A possible solution could involve math :p if you know that your friend's phone will be off for 24 hours then send the text while there are only 22 hours remaining of those 24 :p

Makes me wonder if there is a hash code for this...

I recently had it brought to my attention that there is a hash code to tell your carrier how long to ring your phone before sending it to voice mail (up to 30 seconds - seems the modern default is 20 seconds, the big jerks).

Researching...
