is xbox music and xbox video working properly now???

I've been hearing for months about how xbox's music and video apps were garbage, so i ignored them. however, after updating to 8.1 yesterday, i've found that both apps work and don't require a login (except my barely used xbox live account that do not pay for). so far they work fine for playing my personal music and videos. but i'm ask if this simply a trial period or if there are hidden charge or some other nonsense?

i have a lumia 920, if that matters.

Not the right thread for that question, but i guess soft reset.

These are now the default players and have no hidden charges
There is an optional xbox music pass which allows you to stream or download music from the store

I use them on my phone and pc all the time and have no major issues

I have not received update 8.1.1 for Lumia 1520, since it was released....any explanation?

maybe, they just feel sluggish, wp8.0 used to be a WELL DONE OS, literally, so having this in mind, I wonder if they ever catch up again to the same level of perfection, maybe they did and I don't see it anymore, my memories keep me thinking otherwise :/ still have that "music hub" app that opens the old music app in case the new one fails you, so there you go...
